Case study · AI research engine
An AI that invents ideas, and a gate that kills almost all of them.
Every fifteen minutes an AI writes new trading rules, a genetic breeder evolves the promising ones, and a Rust engine built on THE CORE tests each against seven years of market data. About 75,000 ideas a day. Almost none survive, by design.
How it works
Invent, test, judge.
It searches five worlds at once: Bitcoin, Ether, Solana and BNB in five-minute bars since 2019; the sixty most-traded coins by the hour; every coin Binance has ever listed, day by day, including the ones that died; order-book, liquidation and news data; and Binance’s stock, gold and oil contracts, where the market trades on while Wall Street sleeps. Rules that only copy a pattern already found are not allowed to breed, so the search keeps moving to new ground.
The AI proposes ideas in plain terms. The engine replays each one across millions of price bars in milliseconds, around 127 million bars a second on a single processor core. Then THE CORE decides. An idea has to make money on years it was never shown, beat doing nothing clever, survive realistic trading costs, and not depend on a single lucky day. The bar rises with every idea ever tried, so luck alone cannot get through.
The first survivor
Caught, then improved.
The first idea to get through bought right after a crash and sold thirty minutes later. An independent re-check agreed with the engine, but it also showed the profit vanished once realistic crash-time costs were counted, and that one liquidation day produced a quarter of its trades. So the gate learned two new checks, and the idea was rejected.
The next survivor held for four hours and needed a volume spike as well as the crash. It passed every check, including double the normal costs, on every coin tested, and went live on paper.
Then the engine caught a subtler trap. It had bred hundreds of variants of the same idea and sent many of them to the final test, and most of those flipped to losing money there. So every live rule is now re-judged each run against today’s bar, which rises with every idea ever tried. The volume-spike version now falls just short. Simpler versions of the crash bounce still clear it, but only on the biggest coins: across sixty coins it failed. It keeps trading live, because the only verdict that matters comes from data that did not exist when the idea was found.
● Live · the proof gate
Thousands of ideas a day. Almost all of them die here.
An AI invents trading rules, a breeder evolves them, and THE CORE’s proof gate judges every one on years of market data it has never seen. This is the live record. Most ideas fail, and that is the point: nothing gets near money on hope.

Each verdict comes from THE CORE’s core-edge. The rules themselves stay private; only the reason they failed is shown.
The one pattern still standing
The crash bounce, now on trial live.
Buying the big coins right after a sharp 24-hour crash and selling a few hours later is the only idea that keeps surviving, and the gate keeps getting harder: every live rule is re-judged each run against a bar that rises with every idea tried. Its first version, which also waited for a volume spike, now falls just short and trades live on paper anyway, because only new data can settle it.

What it does not claim
A candidate is not a promise.
Passing the gate means an idea survived every test on past data. The only proof that matters comes after, on data that did not exist when the idea was found. That is why the candidate trades live, in public, with the losses shown right next to the wins.
